Application Information

Leadership Somerset is looking for energetic people who live or work in Somerset County and who represent a cross-section of ages, cultures, races, interests, viewpoints, professions and experiences. Applicants should have a genuine interest in Somerset County, a desire to become more involved in the community and high standards of personal quality and integrity. Candidates must obtain the consent of their employers and commit to one weekday a month to attend Leadership Somerset classes. Full participation is required to make the experience a success for all class members.

The majority of the cost to attend the year-long program is underwritten by the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Leadership Somerset participants are asked to contribute a program fee of $250 for the year, which includes participation in all sessions and meals. Limited financial assistance based on need may be available. A diverse group of applicants will be selected in October and notified by Leadership Somerset. Attendance in January is mandatory for all participants.
